BIOGRAPHY
Senior Research Officer in the Microcomputer Music Research Unit.
The MMRU has been responsible for the design and development of BEST (Bradford Enhanced Synthesis Technology), and a third generation of this system is currently under development at Bradford (see MMRU homepage).
Research interests:
The use of musical instrument sound simulation to explore:
* optimisation of environmental acoustics for musical sound perception
* perception of simultaneous musical sounds
* developments of varied styles of organ voicing.
The use of digital sound sources alongside pipes in hybrid organs

*Application leader for NESTA Innovation and Invention award of 51K, announced July 2001 (funding commenced 1st. February 2001)
*Researcher for AHRB Innovation Award, led by Dr. P.J.Comerford, into hybrid pipe/digital organs (2003-4)
