EXAMPLE PROJECTS
The project titles below are an indication of the types of project our students undertake during the final year of the course.
  • A Study of Edp Security and its LAN-NT Windows Applicability. Analysis of the security procedures to be adopted by companies implementing NT LANs.

  • Java Distributed File System. The accessing of remote/local files has to be transparent to the client/user, secure and atomic.

  • Course Registration System. A programme to track staff, available courses, student registration and their marks.

  • Data Mining for Business Intelligence. The design analysis and implementation of a classification algorithm for use in exploring unclassified records.

  • The Development of a Prototype Information System using INGRES for a Number of different Scenarios.

  • The Development of a Management Information System for the School of Informatics using Microsoft Access. An object oriented approach will be used and requirements gathered through interviews with students and staff.
