Our Informatics Foundation Year aims to give students, who can not fulfil the requirements for our main degree programmes, an opportunity to progress to one of the many undergraduate courses offered by the School of Informatics. The course is particularly accessible to mature students who are returning to learning and to overseas students who need in particular to further develop their study skills.
The Informatics Foundation course is designed to equip you with the full range of technical, intellectual, professional and interpersonal skills, that you will need for your degree studies.
Everyone who successfully completes the Foundation Year is offered a place on the appropriate undergraduate course. Many of our Foundation students go on to achieve very good results in their degree studies.
