EXAMPLE PROJECTS
The project titles below are an indication of the types of project our students undertake during the final year of the course.
  • Mobile Robotics and Applications. Collaborative working over the Internet to perform remote experiments. This project will be conducted in collaboration with industry.

  • Web-based File Archive. Use of a browser at the client side to access remote databases.

  • An Investigation into the Delivery of Mobile Internet Services. Allocation of bandwidth for multiple services including voice and data.

  • Mobile Internet Simulation using the Mosel Language. Simulation of voice and data traffic in GPRS systems.

  • IPv6 Tutorial and Simulation. Using the ns simulator to study IP QoS.

  • IPv6 Quality of Service. Study of the queuing mechanisms for providing high, medium and best effort service to streaming media.

  • Investigation of Quality of Service over an Ipv6 Network Using ns (Network Simulator). Video and audio data will need to be transmitted to fixed and mobile devices and must be streamed with other data so as not to degrade quality.
