EXAMPLE PROJECTS
The project titles below are an indication of the types of project our students undertake during the final year of the course.
  • An Interactive CD-ROM Tutorial. Design of a generic interactive tutorial which will aid learning.

  • Drag and Drop User Interface Design Tool Using Swing. A tool for the quick creation of non-functioning user interfaces for the rapid prototyping of applications.

  • Interactive Web-based Tools and Tutorials for the Demonstration of Image Segmentation Techniques. Segmentation is an essential first step in automatic procedures for analysing the content of images, the tutorial will cover the two approaches of edge detection and identification of region with similar pixel values.

  • Demonstration of Morphing using Flash. Morphing is an animation technique used to smoothly transform one shape into another, this will produce a Flash movie which demonstrates morphing.

  • Interactive Web-based Tools and Tutorials for the Demonstration of Spatial Image Operations. Spatial filters are difficult to explain with static display methods, a dynamic demonstration tool for a range of filters will be produced.

  • Web based Snooker/Pool Tutorial with Online Catalogue.
