OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

We also accept a range of other qualifications such as International Baccalaureate, and BTEC National Diplomas. Applicants with other qualifications, and mature students, will be treated as individual cases. Successful completion of the Foundation Year will ensure students a place on the appropriate degree course.

Higher National Diplomas/Certificates are recognised for possible entry to Year 2. Many European and overseas qualifications are also acceptable. If your first language is other than English, a good score in a recognised English language qualification (such as IELTS or TOEFL) is essential. Information on acceptable English and other qualifications can be obtained from the Recruitment Manager (CompUGAdmissions@Bradford.ac.uk).

MATURE STUDENTS
We welcome applications from mature candidates, and we are keen to recruit from social groups who have not fully participated in higher education in the past. We accept a range of Access courses. If in doubt, please send us full details of your qualifications before making a formal application.
CHANGING COURSE
Apply for only one course. You need to decide if the course appeals to you, and whether you would prefer the three or the four-year pattern. Use the UCAS code from the course details which you are applying for. It may, however, be possible for you to transfer between courses and patterns during the first year. If you are unsure, it is best to apply for the four-year Computer Science course, as this maximises your future transfer options.
