The project titles below are an indication of the types of project our students undertake during the final year of the course.
  • The Development of a Prototype Information System for Hacienda's Sports Centre. A computerised information system designed using System Analysis and Design Methodology.

  • An Investigation into the use of Sensation in Interactive Computer Systems . Exploration of haptic techniques and prototyping of experimental system.

  • The Development of a Prototype Information System using INGRES for a Number of different Scenarios.

  • Drag and Drop User Interface Design Tool Using Swing. A rapid prototyping tool for graphical user interfaces.

  • Using an Internet Interface to Query Multiple Remote Databases. The use of Java applets on a web page to search and display remote bibliographic databases.

  • Computer Aided Marking. Beyond the simple multiple choice question.

  • A Web Based Appointment Manager.

  • Development of Student Attendance/Absence Recording System.

  • Autonomous Intelligent Agents. May provide the solution for transforming passive search and retrieval engines into active, personal assistants.
