INTELLIGENT AND QUANTUM INFORMATION SYSTEMS
The IQIS group incorporates a variety of research areas, such as quantum computing, information systems, artificial intelligence, and neural networks. The aim is to provide an appropriate framework for the investigation of these subjects by its members and encourage novel interdisciplinary approaches. The group has established a network of collaborations worldwide, both in academia and in industry.

Specific areas of research interest to different members of IQIS are the following:

  • Interactive information and software engineering systems, user interfaces, and multi-modal systems
  • Quantum computing, decoherence, and entanglement.
  • Quantum coding, algorithms, and control; quantum optical communications.
  • Mesoscopic Josephson devices as quantum gates. Nanotechnology.
  • Wavelets, time-frequency analysis of signals.
  • Data Mining.
  • Maximum entropy method.
  • Formal methods and applications to quantum computing.
  • Numerical Analysis, especially rational approximation.
